John M. Cash, MD

Dr. John Cash brings a rare combination of frontline emergency medicine experience and specialized hormone expertise to HOOT HRT. His path to medicine began in service: as an Army medic, he discovered a calling for hands-on patient care that has defined his career ever since.

That calling carried him through medical school at Saba University School of Medicine and a demanding emergency medicine residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, where he distinguished himself both as a clinician and a leader. Today he continues to practice emergency medicine while serving as Medical Director at HOOT HRT, providing medical oversight and direct patient care.

Dr. Cash is certified by the Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy Training Academy, but his expertise is also personal. After experiencing the limits of conventional primary care firsthand—navigating hormone imbalance, insurance roadblocks, and the dramatic improvement in his own quality of life through HRT—he became passionate about removing those same barriers for others. He understands, from both sides of the exam table, how transformative properly managed hormone therapy can be.

Alongside co-founder Joe Hamm, PA-C, Dr. Cash built HOOT HRT to deliver what traditional care often misses: comprehensive, patient-centered treatment for hormone optimization, metabolic health, and medically guided weight loss for men and women.
